Sold my Miata :( to pay my bills and fund for my 99spec conversion......need help!

Ok, a buyer just came by and dropped a deposit for my Miata DD today. Pretty sad, because I loved that car and it has a great running engine. But times are hard, and I need money so its gonna be sold tomorrow. But on a good note, I'll have $2000 to put into my 99spec conversion. I was wondering where I could get these parts for the lowest price possible. the 99 wing I don't mind getting used, but the front end, I prefer it to be brand new. The cheapest I've found the front end assembly for is at corksport $1763 and $186.80 for shipping = $1,949.80. If anyone knows a place where I can get these parts for cheaper, then lmk. Or if anyone is selling the 99 spec parts in superb condition for cheap then lmk. I want to try to get this car looking good for sevenstock XIV.

Corksport has the best prices on the 99 bumper, you can get the 99 lip from them as well.
You do not need the rebar, you can cut your own.
Buy the lights off ebay.
Authentic 99 spoilers can be found on ebay as well.

The shipping is reasonable as it is freight. Unless you want to entertain renting a minivan and driving up to oregon to pick it up

I've looked into it a bit, as moosejaw says you do not need the rebar unless you are wanting to buy one of the FD oil coolers ducts (RMagic?), in which case I remember someone saying it is a lot less hassle if you just buy the rebar.

I think SR Motorsport (http://www.srmotorsports.com/sr9399ef.html) may have some individual pieces for cheaper if I recall correctly. Also, you can get a replica front bumper with the plate holder shaved off for a really good deal if you barter, I think someone mentioned 300ish range. There's a thread here somewhere with more info. I personally like the plateless look more, so I will be shooting for that in the future.

Maybe that package deal for the front bumper is good but the price on their side markers is highway robbery.

I think someone has their priorities wrong. If you needed to sell a car to pay bills, are those bills gone now or are they reoccurring bills? I would save up till I can do it correctly and still pay the bills, don't forget still have to pay to have it fitted right also. That will be $300-$500 unless you do it yourself, then paint.

+1! BTW, I can't help but admire your FD! Super clean!

My stock rebar is already cut, because I had a Petit Front Bumper on. Sold that bumper because I prefer the license plate look. Plateless looks a little weird to me from certain angles.

Well, the bills/debt only add up to a couple hundred. I'm getting $3k outta the car, plus I'll have more cash from other parts I'm selling and my bi-monthly paychecks. I'm not expecting to do the whole conversion and paint over night. Its going to be done by the end of summer though and in time for Sevenstock. Labor wise I can work with it myself, and I have a cousin who owns a paintshop who's not going to charge me too much.

I actually prefer the oem 99spec look better. I had a Pettit Front bumper on before which I just sold recently. stock rebar is already cut, so I think I should be fine, but I might get the rebar if I have fitment issues but then again I might want to use all the 99spec ducts also. Some of the prices are good at SR motorsports, but some are a lot higher. So I'l probably piece it all together from different sources. I already have 99 turn lamps, so I'm ok there. I definitely want to do it right, and not half ass anything like some people.

You're correct on the R-Magic Oil Cooler Ducts. However, I managed to get them to work with the oem rebar, it's just a lot of work :)

Regarding SR Motorsports, that guy is an out-and-out crook, and I refuse to purchase anything from him. Do a search in the bad guy section and you'll find all sorts of horrible stories. Example: spray-painting used oem PPFs red and selling them for $600 as Mazdaspeed units.

Hey thanks for the heads up on SR Motorsports. How was the fitment of your 99spec bumper with the oem rebar? My rebar is already cut to fit 99 turn lamps as I had a Pettit bumper before. I'm thinking I might just skip the rebar and see how it goes, and if I do need it later, I will just buy it then. That rebar is just so expensive. I'd rather get the 99 Fogs and undertray instead.
