Sohn OMP adapter question
I have a installed this adapter onto my OMP and plan to run 2 stroke from a reservoir. My question is, I read online of someone saying to run premix for the first few weeks as if a OMP was disabled because it takes some time for the SS lines to fill up with 2 stroke oil. Is this correct to do this? I tore apart the entire system so its completely dry of oil.
And I'm assuming there isn't a way to prime these lines and the OMP. Eddie |
I have a power fc I'm going to use. Maybe you can set the duty cycle to be higher

I'm pretty sure there was a write up about priming the OMP line somewhere...is it Mr.Dale that did it ...not sure .

Run both. The OMP nozzles are insufficient to get good oil coverage across the rotors and housings

yeah i am going to run premix as well but maybe for the first few weeks run 100:1 until the lines fill full. Worst thing about SS lines, you cant see whats in it.

And what ratio is 100:1? 100 oz of premix to 1 oz of fuel? That's a lot of premix (and it's still a lot if it's 100 oz to 1 gal)

And if you are able to see the lines, all you can see is they are full but can't really tell if anything is moving through them. With an external tank, you will see a change in displacement and a rate in change.
Anyhow, you don't want debris in your oil. As Mr.Tom is stating , having the reservoir with a sort of gauge is one of the 2 nice feature of this mod. |
I heard 100 ounces of fuel to 1 ounce of oil is sufficient but its only what i heard on here. As long as both units of measure are the same.
The tank i will be getting wont have a level indicator but i will monitor it. |
