I'm sorry, but what exactly are you trying to do, restore the interior, or modify? What are you doing under the hood?

vudoodoodoo 04-03-03 10:31 AM

Good lord!

I am trying to do it all...Right now the entire fuel system / injectors /rails is the project under the hood. I already did this once but decided 1300's were not enough.

That is funny as hell spyfish because I am constantly doing that....

Oh and the other thing I am constantly thinking is "why didnt I take a pic of that before I took it apart"

Next on the list I am going to drop the fuel tank - I think it has a leak near the top ( I have stopped filling it up all the way) but I made myself put something back together before I take something else apart.

Here is one tip that might help with the bolts. Try putting the bolt back in the hole where you took it from. I have taken apart just about the entire car and had the same problem. I had a spare box of nuts and bolts from a car I parted out so I cheated!

rxrotary2_7 04-04-03 10:28 AM

yeah, i like to put them back where they came from. either that or paper cups from takeout w/ labels written in grease. :D LMAO!!
Shawn, that underhood shot looks good... i am going to have to call you this week about that *page*. i cant get it working. :(

LOL!!! I know the feeling... Hahahaa

Good God.

At least you have space. Whenever I take something apart, I'm outdoors because I have no garage to work in.

I'll never forget one of my first projects, an intake, when I laid out all the parts on the driveway. I stepped inside for a minute and when I came back out, the wind had blown the foam filter half way across the neighbor's yard.

I must have looked like a moron running around chasing the thing.

Scrapiron7 04-04-03 01:47 PM

Wow that's alot of parts laying around. Hope you get them all back where they belong!

xstacy7 04-04-03 06:20 PM

my garage looks the same way, I don't feel so bad now...

xstacy7 04-04-03 06:30 PM

sorry double post

Destroy 04-04-03 06:48 PM

Yah that looks pretty harry. I'm currently doing a motor swap on my car. I'm going to post pics when I start putting it back together. Hope I still have all my hair at the end.

Destroy 04-04-03 06:49 PM

Do you have two fuel pumps?

shawnk 04-04-03 07:32 PM

Nope...just one (toyopta supra high flow).....split it before the rails and have them coming back to the regulator separately. I had them in series when I had 550/1300's but we did my friend's car the way I am changing to and I liked it better.

apneablue 04-05-03 01:15 AM

Damn dude, do you have a job? when are you going to find the time to do that. Worse if you have a gf, you'll never get it done.

blown 04-05-03 01:19 AM

Some some "after" pics when it's all done :)
good luck with the projects
