So what is the final verdict on this problem....?
So why does the Apex'i AVC-R randomly suck air in the vented hole on the solenoid, making a machine gun type noise? I don't feel and effects of this, the noise just gets annoying.
I have seen many threads regarding this issue, but have never really gotten a solid answer. Oh yea, my car runs perfectly. Thanks clayne. M-P |
ooh I just hooked mine up but wont get to try it for a few more months, I like machine gun noises, that sounds cool, the more weird noises my car makes the better as long as I know they are normal... Haha

0110,
What was the solution? :) |
Well it ends up you were right the first time about the FPR vacuum line. But it wasn't that it wasn't connected. It was that the nipple I connected it to was one of the 4 in a row under the UIM. I later realized that this doesn't go into the manifold, but rather goes straight through to the other side. It was in plain site and I just didn't think about it that way. Now I have it hooked to a "REAL" source of vacuum and it runs flawlessly. All this was after a massive unflooding of the car, and I mean massive.
Thanks again, M-P |
That's great to hear man. It's always awesome when the fix is something stupid that's fully fixable and actually has an understandable reason for it's behaviour. Your FPR was 100% regulating there. :D

Haha yea I can vow for the 100% regulating because of how much fuel I had to unflood from the engine:D
