smoke after startup
So i started my car today after not driving it for 4 days, when it started up there was white smoke coming out of the pipe for maybe 30-60 seconds. Car started good, but then jumped up to around 2000 rpms, so i let the brake and the clutch out, and it went back to 1500, then worked its way down to 800. The last thing i remember doing is backing the car up the hill after it had been off for maybe 2-3 minutes, could that be the problem? Anything you might have to say helps. Thanks.

Probably just burning off the moisture in the exhaust after sitting for 4 days. After clearing some of that out, the RPMs probably jumped for better flow AWS probably kicking in. The hill shouldn't have anything to do with it.
I would just watch to see if this is a consistent thing or if just a one time event. I know mine smokes for about a minute after sitting all week. |
If it smokes again, check the exhaust to see if the smokes smells sweet. If it does, then your engine is burning off some coolant.
