SUPER HUGE 85mm THICK ( 3.25" THICK ) ( 18" LONG ) ( 12" HIGH ) 2.5" INLET AND OUTLET SUPER BAR AND PLATE 2.5" inlet, 2.5" outlet i am looking for a smic for my 93 rx7. this intercooler i am looking at above has the inlet and outlet on opposite sides instead of bottom and top. {top inlet, top outlet} is the fatory top and bottom setup better than this one?, or does it make a difference in cooling airflow? this is the link below to the smic i am looking at. please give me any info you may offer. http://search.ebay.com/rx7-smic_W0QQsojsZ1QQfromZR40 |

Unless you want to use your stock ic duct & fabricate your own piping, buy a name brand one similar to one shown here http://www.rx7store.net/index.asp?Pa...S&Category=215 Of course, the closest thing is a asp med smic. ~$1200 or so - a lot more expensive but bigger & quality build. One way to fab a kit is to find someone to buy a duct off of. You can probably use the asp y-pipe crossover pipe to go to the hot side of the turbo. If you have the greddy 3 piece pipe kit, you can probably bend their pipe that leads to the greddy elbow. This is only an idea I'm throwing out. I have no idea if the asp pipe will mate to the ebay intercooler or if the greddy pipes or duct will fit either. |
there is a newer smic by the same company that comes with pipes nice couplers and t-bolts. and I have your duct right here. :)
