SMIC problem with aftermarket radiator???

So I was looking at my SMIC shroud and its looking like fitting it over the radiator to the air dam is going to be tight. Anyone else have this problem? I have a Koyo radiator and pretty much the Pettit large SMIC setup.

I have the M2 medium and the Koyo, the airduct is tight and requires a lot of persuasion. But make sure the radiator is sitting as low as you can get it. You have to bend the bottom brackets to get it to sit low enough.

I had a hell of a time getting my PFS SMIC duct to fit with a PWR radiator. Brackets were reversed and I replaced the rubber bushings in the mounts with some thin rubber washers and it still didn't fit so I had to modify the bottom of the duct quite a bit.

Chris, when I was using an m2 large with my mazda comp radiator. I had to section apx 3" out of the center of the duct to make room to clear. Get your fiberglass skilz out. :D

I run a Koyo with an m2 large, no problems. That's honestly one of the few things that was pretty much a drop in install ( after moving the battery that is )

Me forgets the mazdacomp is a tad thicker than a koyo. Sorry Chris. Maybe bend the mounts slightly as suggested.

Yeah your radiator is definitely thick as all hell. Koyo's shouldn't be that bad. I know many people who've rocked the same Koyo & M2 / ASP Large with no problems

Thanks guys, I will try to bend the mounts some and shoehorn that bitch in there. I just didn't want to start messing with fiberglass...

I used this thread to help me install mine. I have a fluidyne radiator and M2 medium intercooler. Good tips on lowering the radiator...
