Simplified Sequential question
 

If you decide to go simplified sequential, do you need to block off the EGR? and put covers on all of the other vacuum nipples? and then if so will the stock ECU still drive the car with no emissions hooked up?

Well the entire point of the 'Simplified Sequential' setup is to get rid of everything in the vacuum rack that is NON essential to the operation of the stock sequential twin turbo system.


So yes deleting EGR is part of the simplified sequential setup.


HOWEVER.


You can keep it if need be. The only motivation to simplifying the vac rack is to of course simplify it, so really it procedure is restricted to only simplifying the rack as much as YOU can ie. if you need emissions or cold start assist or air bypass valve ect ect.


Hope this helps. Youll get the hang of the vacuum system after a while.

if your worried about emisisons then dont do the simplified seq mod.

egr is the easiest thing to remove, so i hope thats not what your worked up over

I'm not worried about passing emissions. simply put, my concern is, if I do simplified sequential, leave the egr and emissions on, just cover the nipples up, will my stock ecu handle the simplified sequential system or will I have to upgrade my computer?

You have to either use a programmable ECU, or search for the forum for how to use resistors in place of the removed solenoids.
