simplified sequential

i know this has been covered but i got specific questions that are not covered in the simplified sequential threads ive read.
well im in the middle of a vac hose job and since i broke a couple solenoids im goin simplified sequential. BUT, i want to keep my fast idle valve hooked up and most ditch this when they simplify their FD. also im curious to why ppl eliminate the dual throttle and what is the advantage/disadvantage of it??? thats about the jist of things, ill order my resistors in the near future. im fabbing block off plates this weekend. thanx for any advice.

The double throttle elimination is becuz the second butterflys I think dont open all the way and the point is to hopefully gain some better air flow without them. I dont know if anyone who has done the simplification still has the fast idle, I would look at where and what hoses deal with the fast idle and go from there...

Most people eliminate the fast idle valve because the entire purpose of that and AWS is to heat the car up as fast as possible for emissions reasons. Reduction in wear was not at the top of their list here.
