side mirror problem
 

I couldn't find a thread on this,... (prob is one.. so apologies)...

but my side mirrors (1993) are un-responsive... I don't hear the motor going at all... for both driver's side and passenger side mirrors. Does that mean my controller is broken? are there easy ways to check or easy things to check?

2nd switch. Wait I can't remember the FD. I haven't drivin it it years. I just sit in it and make vroom vroom noises.
My Z has a rotating stick.
My truck has a toggle switch for the mirror.
Sorry, I can't remember how the FD works but if it's a toggle type of switch it could have gone bad.
On my CRX when the sun roof stopped working, I removed the switch and cleaned the copper connectors with an eraser and that fixed it until I got A replacement.

thank you, I'll check the fuse when I grab the car tomorrow from the parking garage... FD has a little switch in the middle and then a square button around it to control the mirrors...

I've had my side mirror adjustment switch die, I think it's more common than you'd guess. Bought a new one from Ray a while back, don't remember it being super cheap but I don't think it was too pricey.

In theory you can open it up and clean the contacts, but it's pretty tricky to work on. There's a small ball bearing in there that instantly shoots out and disappears, and you're also working with fragile plastic.

YEP unlike the window switches the mirror switch is difficult to reassemble.
