Shining your 99 spec front lip
I've been using Armor All but it doesn't seem to last very long. My lip is getting a little faded lately due to the hot weather. My vents where my wipers connect is even more faded. Anyone use anything else that lasts longer?

I have no idea what it was that I used on the lip but the thing is all faded and old looking now. I've used the gel tire shine before, I wonder if that's what caused it. It lasted a long time though!

black magic shine works very well and last long

Would I have to order it from the site or should Advanced Auto parts carry it?

Griot's garage also have some quality black polish for plastic pieces.

Mother's Back to Black....
It's been my personal experience that Armor All products suck ass. Their interior dash/plastic stuff is just plain nasty. Mother's Plastic/Vinyl for interiors.... |

That's what I use. In SFL weather, there is no fading of my 99' lip. |
Thanks jsplit. Kinda feel retarded cuz I feel excited about polishing and washing my car. Used to hate washing my dad's car when I was little.

Amen to everyone who said Mother's Back to Black... I use it, I love it, and it lasts a LONG time.

i use black magic on my R1 lip. works good! makes it bling bling along with my tires

I've used Back to Black and it looked good but was just temporary and was a pain in the ass to have to keep re-applying it. If your car is garaged and never sees rain, it probably will work fine for you and will last a while. I ended up using Duplicolor spray on truck bed liner on both the lip and the where the wipers are. It's been holding up perfect for the past couple years and she's still always parked outside and sees the rain/snow/sun. If you want a more permanent solution do what I did. This stuff also filled in the small scratches in the lip, looked like new.

I just found some very sweet stuff. Its Meguiar's Exterior Trim Detailer and it looks great and last a good while. and the best part is that it comes in aerosol and you can spray it all over your windows and paint and it wipes right off leaving no residue. You use one of those microfiber clothes to spread it around evenly andwipe off the overspay on the paint or wutever. its simply amazing. very cool product that makes detailing so much easier! You have to try it before you believe it cuz i sure didnt before.
