Shift boot fitment question

got my new shift boot
and new inner boots from mazdatrix
but my short shifter i think is causing my inner boot to sit a little high and make my shift boot look "bloated"
is there anyway to make it look better or fix that?

The inner rubber boot has a few layers, try removing one of them. What short shifter do you have?
