shaking at high speeds
 

can somwone direct me into what i need. at high speeds my fd has been shaking bad at about 90-100mph all i have for suspension mods are tanabe sustec 1 in drop springs. thanks

Balance and rotate tires. First thing to do.

my fc does that, but there 2 totally different cars..good luck, hope it aint nuttin serious!

+1..Mine did the exact same thing,but it would start at around 65-70MPH..Balanced the tires,had new pillowball bushings installed,and new KYB shocks..Fixed the problem right up.

You don't need all that, just have your tires balanced, you won't even need an alignment. Balancing is for the wobble you feel, alignments are for when the car pulls to one side or the other.

I needed the pilllowballs and the shocks badly regardless,but mine was still shaking even after the balancing.

Is the steering wheel shaking a lot, or is it your seat that is shaking your butt?

Steering wheel shake = front tires out of balance
Seat, Floor, or Butt shake = rear tires

IF that does not fix it, start looking for worn ball joints/other parts. Make sure that nothing is loose from the installation of the springs.

yea its bolth and my dash feels like it is going to rattle off

My old tires would do that, and my brake rotors were slightly warped as braking from 140+ was pretty....exciting. New tires and rotors and my car is rock steady now.

Oh I don't doubt it, but I didn't know to what extent his shaking was. If it's too terribly bad, you're right, he might have to start looking at suspension pieces to see if they're worn.

If you are getting a vibration when lightly braking as well the vibration is coming from your front brake rotors. But as the others stated, the problem is most likely your wheels are out of balance.

yea i know that its not rotors beacuse its happening with out brakes touched

Well as mentioned it could be unbalanced wheels but it could also be a tie-rod end if that is what you call it. Happened to me in another car.
