Service manuals wiring diagrams....
 

I've been working on the main engine harness the last day or two. Going though the whole thing, cleaning it up, getting all of the old tape and tubing off it that was all cooked and them I'm gonna re-wrap it. I'm looking at the wiring diagram in the service manual and trying to just double check to make sure I have everything labeled right. The colors that are listed in the service manual that correspond to a specific wire aren't right. Well there are some that are right, but I'm finding some that aren't. For example, the injector wires are listed in the service manual as light green wires, one solid and three with stripes, blue, white and red. Looking at those wires on the harness righmmt now I have... the one solid light green, one brown with a red stripe, one brown with a white/yellow and the last one is brown with a black stripe. Its just really confusing me and it would be so much easier if I found that the colors were right. Is this just normal for them not to be exact?

From what I've seen there are changes in years so make sure you have the one that matches up. Something you can also do is while they may be different color wires they will probably goto the same place on the ecu as other years. So if your still in question just trace back the harness to the connector and check the ECU pin diagram.

The wire colors are correct on the '93 harness compared to the service manual. The Japanese show the connector from the wire side, not the contact side like other manuals. Anyway, here's a pictures I took after I labeled a manual trans 1993 harness. It may help you out.
