Series 6 & 8 Driveshafts

Hi All,

I’m doing a automatic to manual transmission conversion on my 1995 Touring X. I have sourced a driveshaft from a manual series 8. The wrecker selling the shaft said the spline is longer, too stop vibration.

Does anyone know if a series 8 driveshaft will fit into the series 6 gearbox and mount/work without issues ? Would this extra spline length cause any dramas ?

Thanks

Help ?

A lot of people are using latter JDM trannies with the '93-95 shafts so it shouldn't be a problem to go the other way. However, I have not personally seen a late model driveshaft in person to say that it won't work. ;)

i think the splines and rear flange is the same, its just length that would be different....

lengths are in the fsm's
