im doing the sequential simplification. i found this diagram to help. in the diagram it says that a unspecified solenoid is the Turbo Control valve. and then it showes solinoid E in the diagram also. my factory servis manuals that i got from the internet say that E solinoid is the Turbo Control. i know that alot of people have done this Simplification and i would appreaciate any help.

In stock form, the Turbo Control operation is controlled by 2 solenoids. There is one on the solenoid rack, and then the other one which is mounted to the ACV.

thanks i see now. thankyou.

This question goes along with the thread. I'm also doing the sequential simplification. Do I still need all the metal tubing and junk on the top of the solenoid rack if I'm doing the solenoid rack or can I just run silicone tubing and T's minus the tubing.
What do you guys recommend? Thanks, Jeremy |

I'm putting a new secondary rail, fpr and all stainless lines to the firewall. That should take care of that problem.
"Runs the oil filler neck" ??? What do you mean by that? Thanks, Jeremy |
Are you planning on going single turbo sometime soon, because that's a lot of work and expense that is unnecessary for running twins.
I think you are going to end up with a ghetto-rigged and more complicated and error-prone setup trying to eliminate the rack than by just keeping the rack in the first place. Bad idea to me. |
IM doing the same thing and I still have the twins. Running all new lines, FPR an fittins. Ive already started hopefully ill have it finished this weekend and post some pictures. Well Ill let you know.

The solenoid rack and hard pipes are several parts. You should be able to leave in the fuel line sections and the bracket that supports the oil filler neck but still clear out all the solenoid piping.

Dave after you remove the rack you can separate the tubes and reinstall the rack then you can just run the vac. hoses just like the simplified diagram shows and the lines will be shorter and easier to trace to answer the first question, there are 2 TC solenoids - 1 controls vac and 1 controls press. one only has 2 nipples and a different connector than all the other solenoids |
