Sequential and Non Sequential?
 
Im still new to the FDs and j/w what sequential and non sequential meant? I've been lookin around like on robs website and stuff and still can't find what it means or anthing else.

Seq: one turbo kicks in at 2900 RPM and second turbo comes on line at 4500 RPM. So after 4500 you are running both. 72 hoses keep this stock configuration pure form

non-seq: Both turbos come on at the same time. What time is up for debate. Some people claim 2900 RPMs others at 4300 RPMs. Mine kick in at 3800 RPMs. 6 hoses keep this configuration in check. Simplicity is the basic reason on why to do this mod.

im non-seq. and it runs at a steady 10 psi after 3500 rpm. every once in a while, my boost will hit 15 psi (running a pettit ecu) so i have an apex'i pfc ready to be tuned :)

Some other notes:
Sequential is the stock setup. I get about 8psi of boost as low as 2000rpm, and 10psi by 2500rpm.

The other reason to go to non-sequential is because sequential isn't working right and it's not worth fixing. (In the owner's opinion, not mine - I'm a sequential purist).

yeah degeesman pointed something out. Intead of "kicks in" I should had stated full boost.

I run sequential setup, around 13.5psi. I believe it is the way to go if it is a street driven car! I also did the seq. simplification mod, but it will not pass emission though.

If your car is working properly, just leave it alone. Don't rush into doing modifications just because someone else did. Learn the pros and cons of each modification before doing it.

Besides it is going to break soon enough. You can almost set your watch by it.

The simplified sequential does not change anything that control the turbos. It only removes all of the emissions components that crowd around the sequential system. In other words, it removes the non-turbo parts of the rats nest and UIM.

They are all the same above 4500rpm.

Check out the dyno comparator at www.zeroglabs.com to see how the non-seq compares to seq below 4500rpm. I believe that down real low (under 3500) the sequential is better, but around 4000-4500 the non-sequential is a little more. At and above 4500 it doesn't matter.
