Water Level sensor, which is in the front of the water pump housing (IIRC).

Yeah my wiring harness is a piece of crap and the wire that leads to the front water sensor broke in half becasue its so brittle. And my add collant light still goes on when ever I start the car up even though it is totally filled to the top. I respliced into the wires to extended and renforce it with some new wire. But it stilllllllll goes off, any ideas or suggestions?

And yes it is a brand new sensor, it came with the the new motor. And yes i burpped it properly all the way. the coolant sits almost at the very top of the filler neck when the engine is cold.

Ground the sensor wire to determine if it's the sensor or not. The light should not go off with the wire grounded.

a note on when your grounding it, it takes about 10-15 seconds for the system to react so dont just touch it to ground for a second and see if that works

it was a painful road figuring this out for myself :)

hahaha so I guess I am not the only one that has had this problem? Thanks for the help I will try it out later on in the week if I can.

If you pull the little black box from behind the driver's side kick panel and open it up, you'll see this little black cylinder thingy. Pull that fucker off the circuit board, and you're good to go.

I would of course recommend testing the sensor, and looking for broken wires first, but if all else fails, eliminate that which emmits the most annoying noise on earth.
