Security System Beep?
 

I know the factory security system works, or at least it goes off sometimes.

But I read that there is supposed to be a "beep" when it arms. I've never heard the beep (93) --

Is this something that can be turned on and off?

mine beeps shortly after locking the door and shutting it. i usually faintly hear it as im walking away... maybe 10-15 seconds after closing the door?

Should beep when you lock the door, even from the inside.

Hey guys, i was installing a stereo head unit in my car and when i grounded the harness there was a spark. shortly after i noticed the car would beep whenever i open my door, even without the key in the ignition, it still beeps. i also noticed the security light on the center console doesnt flash anymore. any ideas on what i could do to fix this problem?

car: 1993 rx7
