Seat Rail Bolt Question
 

I'll take some pics tomorrow, but I feel like asking right now :)

Basically, since I had the car, the front/left mounting for the driver's side seat rail is gone. If you take the bolt off of the rail (or whatever they are called...) you'll see that it screws into something underneath a larger hole in the floor pan. Mine doesn't have this in that one location. The original owner had a strange ghetto rig that wasn't working for me with one of those things that expands as you screw into it. The thing just couldn't keep the torque it needed to keep the seat completely still, and so I took it out until I have another way to fix this. I really don't want to JB Weld the rail to the floor pan, and I don't know if it could take the torque I create by pushing on the back of the seat at full throttle.

Does anyone have any ideas, and experience maybe?

Use a poly-nut ( threaded insert that expands from the back like a toggle bolt ) like comes with Garfinkles engine torque braces .They are made by the Marson corporation .

A seat mount is an important thing for crash worthiness. I would have someone weld a nut to the chassis. If the hole is too large, weld the nut to a plate with a hole in it and then weld to the chassis. Should be cheap and easy. Worst case you pull the carpet back.
