Seat Belt Bolt Part number

Does anyone know the part number for the bolts used to attached the seat belts to the floor behind the seats?

A couple of mine are kind of chewed up, and I would like to replace them with the OEM bolt.

I have looked on the fiche, and on the Mazda Motorsports site for the stock parts, but cannot locate this particular bolt.

Thanks, but I order parts through MazdaMotorsports, as they are even better prices than Malloy.

I can just call Mazda if no one knows the number.

Answer: Mazda doesn't sell that bolt separately - it is considered part of the seat belt assembly.

I would hit up the junkyard and look through some other 90's Mazdas, I bet you can find one for little to no money. It's an odd bolt, and I think it's a standard size/shape/type determined by DOT.

I will just get some 10.9 bolts that fit.

This is approximately equivalent to Grade 5 bolts, which is sufficient for 2 seat belt anchors.

A junkyard bolt is not really desirable for a seat belt, and in this case, the DOT doesn't matter (autox car).

All suspension bolts that were not replaced last year, and all seat and seat belt bolts are being replaced.

Seen too many failures on old cars due to aging hardware.

Here's one final interesting bit about the bolts for the seat belts.

They aren't metric.

The bolts for the seat belts are 7/16-20 x 1 inch.

If you measure the bolt, they appear to be 11mm with 1.25mm thread.

Trouble is, you probably can't find a bolt like that.

After googling for 11mm x 1.25mm bolt I found that this issue has come up a number of times with different cars that use metric fasteners for everything except the seat belts.

Hi I'm looking for these bolt, does anyone know where I can get them? Took my seats to an upholstery shop and forgot to remove one side and now it's lost.

As already stated in the thread, junkyard or hit up the For Sale forum or PM Fritz Flynn.

I didn't say look for FD's in the junkyard, just look for similar age Mazdas. It's a standard bolt, should be easy to find at any pick and pull junkyard.

Dale

the DOT makes it standard for everything except length and bolt head size...

Mazda does sell them separate for some cars
