searched...question on Spirit-R FD

my question is:

exactly what year was the Spirit-R? if there is a color model then what year is the titanium metallic grey spirit-r?

i searched the net, and saw 2002, but they could have been talking about some other model.

it was made in 2002, but if it were a us model, it would be an '03, but japan uses different classification than we do

WTF

I think what he's trtying to say is that in the US, around October or so, we stop making this years cars and start making next years cars, maybe in japan its not a 2003 car intil its 2003. Could that be it?

spoolin93r1 02-27-04 05:34 PM

pretty much. we can buy a '04 model in 2003, but in japan a car made in 2003 is considered an '03 model

What is the difference between the spirit R and the noir edition?

That's partially correct. They do use different year classifications...i.e. they don't say 1992, they say heisei Yon-nen....4th year after the death of their last emperor.
