No offense, but if you have enough time to post on this forum, you have enough time to use the search function. (I provided the link for you)

Here are search results using "seafoam".

Seafoam is nothing more than diluted acetone.

I used it on my daily driver prior to figuring out what was in it.
It improved engine response, much like doing a very thorough throttle body cleaning, but after a week or so...the same response that I felt....was gone. Back to normal.

I've only done it a handful of times. I don't know the long term effects of acetone on various automotive related components. I will say that you shouldn't overdo it. I went a bit overboard one time, and used two cans of seafoam at one time (in an effort to get things extra clean...dumb move). The check engine light came on, and stayed on for about a little more than one week. Then, it magically went away. ECU wasn't throwing out engine codes at all? Guess I was just lucky.

Not sure how the acetone will effect things such as engine gaskets, fuel filters (the filtering element or even the glue that holds that element together), rubber hose lines, etc.
