Safe on stock ECU? (#102914901)

I have mostly de-modded my car, but I'd like to keep a few things on my car so that it isn't TOTALLY stock. I was wondering if it would be okay to have these modifications on a stock ECU/stock wastegates:

Downpipe
"high-flow" cat
RB dual tip catback
(???)cheap bastard intake mod(???)

I guess if need be I could get my hands on a stock main cat, but I'd really rather not put the stock pre-cat on (wouldn't want to bake my engine bay). So do you think I could run these few little mods? I mean I'm not looking for tons of power, I just a) don't want to bother swapping things out under the car and b) I want to keep my car sounding the way it does now.

Of course, just keep the boost to 10 psi.....

Sounds good. Would you suggest doing this with an EBC? I know they're more safe, but cops loooove to look for gadgets.

Mount the ebc in the glovebox :)

I remember the last time I got pulled over (in my TII), they searched every crevice of the car. Under the seats, in all of the storage compartments, the rear spare tire well, glovebox, everywhere. And apparently they're allowed to. Modified exhaust gives them just cause to basically do a full strip-search of your car for aftermarket stuff.

There is nothing illegal about a boost controller, or any of your other mods for that matter. Let the assholes pound sand. :)

Boost controllers aren't illegal? I'll be darned. If it isn't too much trouble, what EBC would you recommend? I've heard good things about the AVC-R, but it's also a little more of an involved installation. I see in your mod list that you run a Profec Type-B. How is it?

The old Profec B (now called the Type S) is a simple and reliable boost controller. I didn't want a bunch of fancy "features" or any of that. It is easy to adjust, has two easily selectable boost settings, and is inexpensive.
