Rx8 spark plugs

Hey,
I'm changing my spark plugs and some one told me top put in 4 rx8 trailing plugs. Is that ok?

GoodfellaFD3S 02-24-10 01:40 PM

What do you hope to gain by doing that?

h2ojoshua 02-24-10 01:49 PM

I don't know he told me it would be better. It was Cam at Pettit that told me that.

I guess the bigger question is, do you trust Cam or not? If you do, do what he says. If you don't, then do some searches here on the forum for what others are using. Here's a good thread:

I trust him i just want to know what the difference is and what are the benifits. I just like to be informed.

You beat me to this, I was thinking of asking the same question just for my own knowledge but I did't want you thinking I was second guessing you or his decision.

Cam knows his stuff. I have a bit of info about these plugs on my website.

4 rx8 trailing plugs??? call me crazy but i bet the rx7 and rx8 spark plugs are the same. I dough mazda will make a different type of plug for a similar engine.

Well then I guess you're crazy ;)

They're a completely different plug and cost over triple what the FD plugs do.

The Rx-8s plugs have less reach than the Rx-7. Generally closer the better( obviously without contact) Here is a pic...
