RX7Store upgraded turn lamps

who's running them, are you happy with the quality? i know that the Store normally carries good quality stuff, but some feedback is always appreciated.

does anyone have pictures of them on a black 7. i was thinking of going with the black w/ clear lense for my FD.

thanks

So far I'm very happy with the quality. They are very nice pieces. Even came with new bulbs. I get nothing but compliments about them every where I go. Give them a try you wont be dissapointed, they look so much better then the stock ones.

Just IMHO,
Mitch

Garfinkle has silver with clear on his silver car . They look like a much newer style . They look much better than the stock ones with the orange reflectors removed .

Do you write children's books for a living by any chance?

Hyperite 03-27-04 09:23 AM

Hahaha, Jim...you love this guy and it shows.

manatecu 03-27-04 09:45 AM

Jim's comments have kept me amused for the past 5 years.

Hyperite 03-27-04 10:08 AM

Me too, back to the days of the big list. :) We need a Best-Of-LaBreck website or something.

Personally I like the orange in mine; it still leaves it with an OEM look. I can just imagine what a clear with nothing but silver background looks like, reminds me of the nice altezza lights everyone puts on their civic. IMHO

Are your lights the smoked lenses or the clear?

"He's" a she, and she won't shut up about Garfinkle this and Garfinkle that and Garfinkle hit me in the head with a Wiffle Ball bat... :p:

I'm still waiting for a post where she uses the word "I".

rockshox 04-01-04 03:26 PM

so who would be interested in an LED conversion of these new lights? I have already done the stock ones: http://www.lighter.net/products/rx7signals/ Im tempted to buy a set just to see what I can do with them since they look kinda neat.

Seriously man, get off her back about the the Garfinkle thing. We've discussed this. Jason doesn't like garfinkle promoting his stuff on the forum, and for good reason. duboisr is a loyal customer of garfinkles who recommends his work and ideas to others who don't know about him. Why is that such a big deal to you?

And Mitch, your car is sweet looking. Making me rethink my '99 spec plans. That way is a whole lot cheaper, and looks damn sexy.

PVerdieck 04-01-04 04:20 PM

911GT2. While that is true, you would be losing the increase in airflow you get with '99 spec.

Thanks!

I have considered the '99 spec look but... after the new turn signals, shark mouth and the lip I really like this front.

Mitch

Oh yeah they are the smoked version.

LED conversion? You can buy LED bulbs that plug into the stock adapters for almost dirt cheap now.

Does anyone have pictures of the clear lens with polished housing option installed? I think I have looked through all of the relevant threads and I don't recall seeing one. All I have seen have been the clear and smoked lens with black housing.

rockshox 04-01-04 07:28 PM

yeah but those led bulbs are utter crap. something brighter and designed for the application works much better

What?? Your kit for $150 ?? I'll pass.

The bulbs seem good enough for me. It's only a light, how much engineering needs to be put into that? 2 for 10 bucks, count me in.

rockshox 04-01-04 08:01 PM

yeah and my kit is $80 worth of LEDs alone. you get what you pay for. but I dont want an argument, if youre not interested I understand, but someone else might be.
