Rx7 Rebuild Pics and Info for those interested

Hey guys, hope everyones is doing good.. April is here and the rides are coming out more and more everyday... Well this is for all those interested, and for who has followed my experience with the purchase my 93 Rx7... Basically what has happened up to this point was this... I bought the car for at the time, what i thought was a good deal... Turned out to have a blown coolant seal which lead me to a rather annoying and pricey engine rebuild... Below a pics of the rebuild and the final project.... It took 40 days...3200bucks... and a **** load of patience.... The plus side of the rebuild was, since it took so long, the mechanic through in a few added suprises (port and polish, and lightened flywheel) which i wasnt aware of and didnt increase the cost of the rebuild... Below are pics.. hope you enjoy..

street port job.... at first he wanted 500 bucks to do the job.. i told him i couldnt come up with the money.. but he did it anyways...

end plates polished...

complete mazda oem gasket kit... the main culprit of which lead me to this headache... that and the fact that the previous rebuild was done without using a torque wrench, which lead to over torquing and causing the faulty coolant ring.

motor shot all nicely painted.

finally all done!

check out the method of lightening the stock flywheel.... this is the first time i've seen a job done like this... looks like a drill was used to drill out holes... i hope this technique works well...

here is a shot of the back end... its on stock suspension... i hope to get it on some eibachs in the near future...

Well thats basically it for now.... the install isnt complete yet.. the complex turbo system is going to require a couple days to complete before the motor can be fired up..... anyways if anyone is interested in buying the car pm me... im not putting it up for sale just yet.. but its a thought ive considered....

You can go in and edit your own post and remove it.

Btw, my last post was making fun of the ad in the imageshack link, in case anyone thought I was crazy :D
