 A 2 minute search could find this guy literally hundreds of rx7s.

Oh how times have changed. Either way to the OP, Jon has nice cars for sale right now with fresh rebuilds. With his cars you dont have to worry about the $3-6k worth of stuff most below $10k fds require these days.

FD models were never made by a big company like autoart in 1:18 scale. You can but lots of model kits you have to build yourself, but no pre-made diecase replicas that I'm aware of. They have the FB though.

Kyosho made them in LHD and RHD.

Red, Silver, Black and Yellow. Although, not all colors were available in both LHD and RHD.

Also, I know there were '1993' and '1995' models... which had different wings and wheels.

There are always usually some on eBay (4 right now... Red/Silver). Expect to pay $75-$100+ depending on color/variation.

And he must be looking only in newspaper classifieds. :)

There are lots of FDs for sale at any one time on the internets.

limepro Dec 14, 2010 04:08 PM

autotrader.com, ebay, craigslist and this site all have quite a few in and around NC.

MR_Rick Dec 14, 2010 04:34 PM

I have about 4 FDs from Tamiya and a 787B to top it off.

Do you know what (successfully) swapping from an auto to a manual entails?

Also, it's not uncommon to travel a ways to find a good condition FD.

You will have much greater success on this forum if you learn to use the "search" button.

Gringo Grande Dec 17, 2010 09:59 AM

This will not end well.
