depends on what power levels your going for. Usual upgrades would be injectors, again depending on power levels will depend on sizes. Adjustable fpr is a must, larger lines depending again on power and upgrade your pump. I personally relocated my fuel filter for ease of changing as the factory location is a pain, i also changed my rails over and deleted the factory FPD (fuel pulsation damper) which is a common faliure issue on the FD, some after market rails have these built in.

Id also consider getting a fuel pressure gauge so you can keep on top of what your car is doing and is a fantastic way of seeing a problem before it becomes detrimental to the health of your engine.

Injectors I use are Injector Dynamics, Bosch are a fantastic choice too. I'm also running an aeromotive 325lph pump which has been fantastic. Waldron, Bosch 044 or even the supra tt sensor pump are good upgrade choices.

The fuel system is he life blood if your car, don't skimp on it, use the best parts you can afford. What you need will depend on your goals, but if you want to future proof it get everything in place now even if it's overkill.

thanks man I'm gonna look into it ... I was looking for another 20-40 hp so you think this could be achieved with an upgraded fuel system as you described? I would love 300 hp to the wheels

Check out the Banzai bolt on thread. That should put you where you want to be.

Bored out 1300 secondary injectors and a supra fuel pump will work perfect for your setup. SR motorsports or rc engineering can bore them out. I just had my 1300 cc/min injectors cleaned and flow tested and they actually maxed out at 1640 cc/min. This setup can support a lot more than your power goals, and it's the most affordable option.

I have around 300 whp on my car on otherwise stock fuel system and in the process of adding one of these...

---> Denso Pumps

+1 for an extra 40hp of what I posted is overkill, you won't need many changes to get the extra horse power. Pump upgrade would pretty much get you there, you can up the secondary injectors as a precaution so you don't run Injector duty on the factory injectors maxed.

The stock boost is 10 psi, you are running 7. Increase the boost to stock and you will be very near 300whp

I just spoke to my mechanic and he said the same to just up the boost to possibly 10 -12 psi , I just need a boost controller and another tune ...but I'm just wondering would that rob my engine of life ?

cr-rex 07-19-17 11:59 AM

It will rob your engine of life in relation to what your boosting it at now. Like banzai said, 10psi is stock and your at 7. I also wouldn't go so far to say that the health of your engine is at risk or the health if anything actually. You're operating well within the factory specifications. It's not like you're pushing anything to any kind of limit

Banzai-Racing 07-19-17 01:48 PM

You do not need a boost controller, just put the factory pills in the lines and reinstall the WG & PC solenoids if they have been removed.

Even at 10 psi, with his mods wouldn't be time for one of your Supra pumps?

Yes, I always recommend upgrading the fuel pump, even just for reliability on stock level cars. It is an inexpensive part after all and critical to running higher power.

With no modifications to the rest of the car and just dropping in a high flowing pump, wouldn't it make his car run richer across the board?
