Car is perfect, not a dent or scratch on it. Please don't say the price is too high just because you can't afford to buy the car. I just want honest oppinions.
Thank You, Richard Sorry edited you title from 1985 to 1995 and I also must move it to the proper section... CARS FOR SALE. Please follow the rules the best you can....TIA. |
ok maybe I wont move it..just yet..... but I will add that you asking $35K is too much... maybe something like 28K

Not from Alaska
This car has been the property of the owner of Houston's leading Mazda dealership. It has been looked after by tech's that can actually work on 7's. Not that it has needed any work, but it has been started and driven from time to time, and had oil changes, etc...

A low mile Silver '95 is pretty rare. Somewhere around $30k sounds about right to me.
|
Price is good if you can sell it to any idiot. :p:
|
I think 35k is too much, When they were brand new with zero miles they cost around 35k right?
It has 5500 miles and its about 7 years old. I think about 27-29k would be a good price. |
Gee, I thought it was sold since they pulled it off of ebay. Fair price I think would be around 27-29 for it. 35 is just way too much...
|
Is that the FD on the Ebay sometimes ago? I thought that is sold already.

yes it was on ebay just a while ago, it was pulled because a mazda representative was interested so the owner asked me to pull it until he could get an answer from him. It is just tentatively sold at this time.

Whats it worth??
Its worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. You have a few things holding you back on selling this car for a premium. First the economy is bad not a lot of people have a surplus of cash siting around, second its a 7 year old car it maybe very hard to get a loan for it considering banks go by blue book value before fronting a loan. If i was in the market for a low mileage 95 with that many miles i would probably look at about $30,000---$32500 assuming all checks out alright mechanically. If you want bucks for your car i would wait to sell it maybe just a few more months for the economy to rebound a bit and then try again but now i think your going to get low balled unless you find the RIGHT buyer. Good luck with selling.

It's a beautiful example of an FD, and if I didn't have one already, I would jump on it.
I certianly hope the right buyer takes it home  |
does it have any mods, or is it stock?
|
That's the Jeff Haas Mazda car... :)
|
worth
If a collector buys the car its probably worth more than 35k to them to your average joe its worth much less to you its a matter of time if you want to sell it fast sell for 25k if you want to wait until the right buyer comes along sell for 35k and up (however a collector would want it to look new so whatever it would cost to refurbish the car would have to be absorbed) IMO from the pics I saw on ebay engine bay dry rot and paint fade
would be my first two questions any enthusiast paying top dollar would have many more and if you can't answer them satisfactory obviously the price keeps deminishing. Good luck with the sale awesome low mileage 7 I hope it goes to a good home. |
Yes this is the Jeff Haas Mazda RX7. Once again, I don't believe that it needs any type of restoation at all, it is just the lighting and limitations of the camera. You would truly have to see it in person.

no it has no mods, it is stock
|
Someone who collects may grab it from you but anyone in the market for a good looking car can do a lot better than that. They won't find one with 5500 on it but that's an awful lot of cash for a car that is seven years old no matter what the mileage happens to be. If I were to drop 35K on a car right now I would be down at my local Ford dealer placing an order for a 2003 390hp Cobra. I'd have some change left, a warranty, and a car that would run just as well (if not faster) than my 7.

I agree with peck1270, just wait tell Nov and buy a brand new RX-8 for that much, 7 years of rubber getting old, and sun on the paint plus 5k of miles put on it makes that car worth no more then 25k in my book. FD's in good shape are not that hard to find yet.
Kelly Blue books this car at about 22k BTW, 7 years is 7 years no matter what condition. |
Amen.....
I wholeheartedly agree with that last post. Richard, its good to know that you are using your head and asking the right people. Many have laughed at the $35k asking price. Only a fool, or someone who will park the car and never drive it would be willing to dump that much cash on the car. They did not cost that much more when they were brand new.
I would be willing to to give you no more than $25k for it. In fact if you were to post a "realistic" price, I would snatch it up right now, but somehow I don't see the owner being "realistic." 1. The cars are pains to maintain regardless of how little is has been driven. 2. Again, its a seven year old car... no ifs ands or buts 3. There are much better cars to spend 30 grand on (like an early model NSX) 4. A 3rd gen with 20-30k on it is a better value, because you will not have to refurbish it for dry rot as someone mentioned above. the list goes on and on and on.... Be smart with the price and you will make someone very happy. There are plenty of people right here who would die for a 3rd gen in great shape (if its affordable that is) The vast majority of us are not wealthy and can't toss cash around. Its not like you guys need the money;) |
The front bumper looks like it has been repainted or replaced. Why is that?

FD is the chassis code for the 3rd gen rex. It's just a way that we say things to differentiate between the 1st-3rd gens. So as to not confuse others. It's really called an FD3S, but yea we lazy typers it seems like ;). And you what they say...you talk how you type :).
