Rx7 1995 Automatic Idle Problem

Hi all i have done a search and looked through quite a few posts but can't find the problem i have which is on a automatic.
First off the car runs and drives great no problems whatsoever it just when in idle it is up and down but as soon as you put your foot on the brake and either put the car in Drive or Reverse the idle sits fine again.
Also instead of making another thread another little problem i have is my rev counter keeps sticking again done a search and can't find anything any help with these problems would be very much apree
Thanks
Gaz

Check your Throttle Position Sensor settings and clean your throttle plates. It is also possible that you have a small vacuum leak which would cause a higher idle. The ECU then tries to correct it by lowering the idle, causing the fluctuation. It is most likely your TPS.
