rust in boot area?
 

This morning I opened the boot area to find pliers and screw driver that fell into the spare tyre. So i took out the spare tyre and to my shock i found rust all over the spare tyre hole/area, even the spare tyre itself is full of rust.

Have you guys encounter this problem too? Can it be that rain water/ water from high pressure hose went through the small gaps of my car and drip to the bottom?

To my knowledge, the boot carpet would be damp if the water goes in if this happen when i wash the car. But I've never notice it before. The carpet was dry all the time when i washed the car.

Does this happen to you too?
