rpms drop FAST when i let off the gas
i noticed this a while ago, but its gotten more, how you say, worse?
i was running on the freeway at 80mph. rpms were around 3k. i let go of the gas and my rpms quickly drop to the idle speed of just rolling at 5mph (a little more then 1k) when i realized this, i pushed on the gas slowly, it seemed as if my car was in neutral. once i reached 3k rpms i felt the car move again. is this common? the wire that goes from the firewall to the throttle has a rip in it. not the wire itself, but the rubber around it. if you need pictures just ask. what could the problem be besides that wire? if it is that |
is it auto or stick??
