Round Tail Light Conversion

I need to have my rear tail lights converted to round.

Who is the best person who can do this for me?

mrb63083 Oct 13, 2008 12:16 PM

I'm sure someone will chime in, however it's really not too difficult if you have a heat gun.

"seven lust" just did mine

they look phenomenal...........and turnaround time was 4 days

pm him for more info

spaceman_spiff Oct 13, 2008 04:08 PM

how much did he charge you?

RLaoFD Oct 13, 2008 04:12 PM

it is cheaper to do it yourself, even after you buy a heat gun.

Unless you f them up somewhere in the process and then you have to buy 99 spec lights anyways (cost of heat gun + new lights)....Just have seven lust do them, mine turned out amazing and could not be happier.

He charged me 80 to polish them, the 99 conversion and separate the 3rd brake into 3 sections. looks really nice.

Yes, I know SevenLust is MOST DEFINATELY the BEST I have seen on this site.

I have seen his work and have also spoken with him. I think he's a genius.

I just need some time over the weekend to remove the lights to send to him.

How much does he charge to do the conversion???

There was a thread explaining the services and charges but it appears to have been removed. There were various members vouching for his work. IIRC it was reasonable, included shipping one-way and described the turn-around. Given the new(er) vendor rules you should probably just PM him.

Rx-7Addict Oct 13, 2008 07:54 PM

its a bit safer to put them in the oven at the lowest setting opposed to using a heat gun. less chance of melting the plastic that way. the low heat of the oven should melt the adhesive but nothing else . at that point all you need to do is mask off 3 cirlces per light and use some type of spray paint, preferably one with a somewhat matte, rough finish

"seven lust" Did mine as well and they turned out great. My crappy camera doesn't do them justice.

It was 80 bucks to have all 3 pieces converted. Plus shipping both ways (To him and From him).

another customer of seven lust here, they look great and the polish job was amazing. it made my taillights look brand new and the conversion looks top notch.
