Rotary only magazine

Good luck, hope it doesn't go the way of the other rotary mag we had.
Some people got shafted with the subscription. |
We are not doing year subscriptions we are doing monthly and charging by month as well, we don't want it to go bad and people who pay upfront get shafted, there are two company's coming together to make this happen and both company's have been around for years

I think your price for subscription is way too high. Ten or 15 a month adds up to 120-180 per year. That's about five to ten times the cost of a subscription to say import tuner magazine. Just my opinion.
We are not only doing a read but we are giving away parts and also videos as well
To get the parts, you require 50 bucks a month subscription. That's 600 bucks a year to maybe get lucky and get a part or two. That's a lot of money for a chance at getting something. lord knows we need more information out there on these great cars. The more the better. I applaud your efforts and hope your magazine takes off. I just think you are asking way too much to subscribe. Have you looked at other successful on line magazines? Have you studied their business plans and subscription rates? You have a great idea, but your market is limited. I think there are resources out there, like a College Business Professor, who could help you for free and maybe set you up for success. Good luck again. Hope you do well.

Highest tier is $40 not $50 also to subscribe is only $10 so I'm not sure where you even got your info
I also have looked around, everyone wants a full year upfront so a large lump some ya they say discount but still close to $15 a month just for a basic read where we offer videos and specific how to videos as well as giveaways and monthly items to your door guaranteed so..........
Also import tuner is around $12 a issue so still cheaper and offer more
So, does a book get sent to my house with this?
I also feel this is a bit high. I understand niche type magazines generally cost more to offset the smaller volume sale. Just to counter, Super Street/Import Tuner is not $12 an issue. Full subscription costs $15 a year I think proposing a one tier subscription and using vendors to supply giveaways will do much better.
^^^ what he said. I didn't want to argue any more. I really do wish them the best.

Does anyone remember "Rotary Rocket" magazine? As I recall, it came out in the early 80s. The guy that started it was a police officer. I think he started the RX7 club of america too. It was kind of cool having our own magazine. It was around for several years.
^I remember. Got a couple free subscription years with the purchase of my new FB in 81.
I remember it. Still have a few copies in my keep sake box if memory serves me.

We do have vendors offering discounts to members only
I can see where one might be hesitant toward the price. Let me give you some selling points. We've teamed up with some of the best vendors out there. E & J, Sick automotive, and Lucky 7 racing just to name 3. Our media is handled by myself. I've been a professional in video and photography for a while now working with names like 1320Video, Street Outlaws, and Midwest Exclusive. The video content will be superb. How tos are more than a step by step, we go in depth and show you the theory behind every application. (Similar to mighty car mods but more niche).
As for the giveaways, we're not planning on giving away small things. We're talking fully built race cars, bullt motors, monster turbos, expensive wheels. Wanting to get started on your DIY Build? Not only will you be able to see how to remove, rebuild, install, and tune your rotary, you'll also be able to get big discounts on parts. For example, sick auto is offering 10% off on $1800 engine builds. That's $180 dollars off for $40/mo. That's a free $140. We get to bring you guys great products. The vendors get to make new customers. And everyone gets to learn along the way. |

I decided I'll take a leap of faith and signed up for the gold membership. Platinum is the top tier membership for those who haven't looked. I hope it's as good as I hope it is 😉
Once again, thanks so much for helping us! |

Appreciate it sir! Right now we're a little skimpy on content as we're just starting our second month, but we DID just rent out a shop using subscriber money so we have more flexibility for our how to videos. Consider your early subscription more of a show of support to start. We have big plans in place and the more support we get, the better! This months how tos are cool and unique. And we have an AWESOME feature car for October.
Once again, thanks so much for helping us! No problem, I hope it all works out. Is this thread the only way you're getting to word out? How many subscribers are there? Is it international? Thanks |
