K ive been ready assloads of info on these forums. I am buying a japanese right hand drive rx7 (3rd gen) and i plan to put a full bodykit possibly widebody and a brand new paint job with some 19" challenge sf wheels. anyone have any specific experience on any of this stuff you help is appreciated.
first question: what is the average cost in canada to get a widebody kit installed, and painted(keep in my mind im not walking in like a goober and paying full price) Second question: what are some mods i can do for reliability, i want to put smoe serious work but i want to start with realibilty mods as far as engine/drivetrain go thuird question:can i put the bodykit and rims on a few weeks before i install coilovers??? thanks for any and all help |
1st: better to check in regional forums, since you are most likely planning to get it done around your area
2nd: the reliability mods are covered quite a bit in the 3rd gen FAQ stickied at the top https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/ There are a bunch of links worth reading, or if you scroll down to R, you will find reliability mods. Check there. 3rd: what is your concern? rubbing? |
there is a search function on the forum as well as a Sticky FAQ thread on the 3rd gen page.

thanks

1. Well, you have the price of the kit + the labor and paint costs. Drop by a shop and ask. It will be a lot more accurate answer than what you'll get here.
2. We have a FAQ thread here and the search function that covers reliability... 3. Coilovers are not needed for any wheel fitments other than 18x10 up front....so go ahead. 19s are not really a good choice for the FD, you can go wider with a lot more choices in 18s. I suggest going to the Suspension forum, lots of good info about your questions.... |
If you are indeed going to buy from Japan you may as well buy an rx-7 that already has a widebody kit. It would save crap loads of time, money and stuffing around. Check out garage-r.co.jp or yahoo auctions if you want a taste of what is around
