Rolling Fender on FD
 

Not sure if this is the appropriate Forum section or if it should be in Exterior / Interior section. Mods please move as necessary!

I have the Eastwood Fender Roller Kit and am ready to roll my fenders to get rid of clearance prolems. My question is this: When rolling the front driver side and passenger side fenders on the FD I noticed that there is a bolt / clip near the apex of the curve of the fender that appears to bolt the plastic fender well liner to the fender. Do you remove that bolt when rolling the fender? After the fender is rolled, I presume that you cannot bold this back on any longer. Also, do you basically tuck the fender liner behind the fender lip and then roll the fender, or do you lose the ability to even have a plastic fenderwell liner after you roll the fenders? Does this mean that anyone who has their fenders rolled does not have the plastic liner anymore?

good question: I too am coming to that point.

you can lightly roll your fenders and keep the fender liner. why not add a .5 degree or so of camber? that will help your cause too.


when rolling use A LOT!!! of heat. I cracked my old car's paint even though I thought I had heated enough.

Mine are already cracked :( car is so low it ripped the edge outward from turning while hitting bumps >_<!!!!

yea that happened to me to. except i haven't lowered my car. I'm considering rolling my fenders to fix it.
