Must say that everyone's cars look great. However, does anyone know if Mazda Competition parts has a web site? I am looking into getting their radiator ( the same one that M2 carries).

Hard Brakes

Racedriver:

Can you explain your brake pedal ratio? I want a really hard pedal!! Quite a post you've come up with!

I think if you have stock calipers you will find the 929 master cylinder will give you a much harder pedal.

it may be too much effort with the ratio change, but you could always change it back.

your brake pedal has a pivot point at the top. the master cylinder bolts to this pedal a few inches from the top. measure the length from the pivot point to the center of the foot pad.

now measure the length from pivotpoint to master cylinder attachment. Divide pedal length by master cyl. /pivot length.
stock is about 4:1

I think i changed the m/c mounting location lower by 1 inch,a block of aluminum 3/8 thick, bolts to the master cyl rod. the piece that attaches to the pedal is attached to the other end of the alum. block about an inch down.i drill a new hole in the pedal, an inch down from the old one. my new ratio is 2.85:1.

I have huge calipers and a very hard pedal.

Wouter,

Have you experienced any wheel stud failure?

However, I'm unsure if their radiator is a 100% solution to the overheating problems in the FD. I'm running Ray's Ultimate Radiator, no problems here.

never had a wheel stud failure with 275 r compound radials

Taz, thanks for the info. Could have sworn I tried that...and everything else that I thought it would be.
