"Rich mans" Non-Sequential modification
I remember reading a while back about forum member that was performing a "rich mans" non sequential conversion where the manifold and turbine housings were ported and pre-spool ports filled.
I did some research and found that a member on this board David Garfinkle (aka Garco Motorworks on this board) was the one performing this modification. These are some of the pictures of what he does for the "rich mans" non-sequential conversion. http://www.blackgto.com/RX7/turbos/garfinkle.htm It seems as if David has stopped posting on this board and I was wondering if anyone knew how to reach him to perform this modification. Or if anyone else on this board would be willing to perform this modification. This modification seems like a great idea for those running BNR's and for those that are looking to get the most out of the stock twins. Anyone know anything about what happened to David or of anyone that will perform this mod? |
I had a machine shop do my welding and porting on my last FD (this was back in 04). I just showed them examples of what I wanted done and they did it for me.

Garfinkle is active on the "other" forum. You can do quite a bit (or all) of this mod yourself or hand it off to a machine shop. A couple of more sources for info on this:
