RHD to LHD mirror conversion?

Has anyone done this? There are supposed to be some kind of limiters insde that prevent overturning but unfortunately the passenger side does not come in close enough and shows two lanes over instead of the next lane. I paid over $600 for my special edition carbon mirrors and I do not want to break them. :anger:

Oh come on, I know there's other people with Ganador mirrors? :wavey:

yeah iv got them..and like illusionzx said ull have to open it up..

GoRacer 12-18-06 08:41 PM

What did you do to open them up? The manual shows a heat gun to remove the glass for the oem mirrors.

GoRacer - any outcome on this. I'm prepping my car to paint in a few weeks and was thinking about installing my Ganador mirrors - this sounds like something thats easier done off the car?

Mine are off the car but I never got to it. I put it aside and forgot about it. I was told both mirrors need to be opened, then swap the limiters from each side to the other. I can't find my heat gun. My garage is a mess. I need to make my shelves and get organized. sigh :(

I got mine all taken apart to send it to idiot Sonix7.. I'll try to post some pics from the inside... Maybe tomorrow or sunday.. Hope that might help you a little.. But I don't think I used a heat gun.

necrophiliac me reviving old dead threads...

Found my heat gun, but something seems to be holiing it closed mechanically, like the adjuster wire/cable. The housings don't seem to "slide" apart as the directions would lead me to believe
