RHD/downpipe

Ive heard that LHD downpipes will not work on RHD cars. Is this true?

This is true because there is a bend required to get around the steering shaft. However, some regularly sold in the US have the kink in them anyway.

Many will not because of the steering shaft. I think it's HKS that makes a DP that has a flattened section to clear the shaft on RHD models. There may be others.

companies make downpipes with or without the "kink" depending on their intended market. RHD cars require the "kink" due to the steering shaft, LHD cars don't. so if a company is making a DP for a LHD car, it probably won't have the kink....

All Jap model downpipes should fit as will any made here in the UK and also in Australia. We're all RHD :)

Correct, I have one and it has the "kink". It is also one of the best fitting DP's.

HKS downpipe was designed and made for RHD. It's great fitting, quality product. At only $200 you can't go wrong. Got one on my car.
