REW build question

I am building a REW to drop into a 2nd gen... however i have a question about the flywheel...i am using the n/a tranny but when i tried to fit the n/a flywheel on the engine it hits on a corner... I was wondering if there was a way that i could use the REW flywheel and a n/a clutch and pressure plate and it would still work on the n/a tranny?

First off, you need to be concerned with the rear counterweight. If the engine is a stock REW engine and you installed a non-turbo flywheel, the rear counterweight wouldn't match the front and you'd have a VERY bad engine imbalance.

You need to at minimum run the REW flywheel or run a light flywheel bolted to an REW rear counterweight. With that done, it's VERY likely the NA trans won't bolt up, starter won't work, clutch hydraulics won't work. So, you need either an REW trans or maybe a TurboII trans.

Regardless, you have a can of worms. You need to do a lot more research on this subject. Do some searching in the 2nd gen forum, they're going to be more familiar with this type of swap than in the FD section. I only know some of this as I've owned a number of FC's in the past.

In theory, you could use a S5 NA flywheel, and retain your clutch/starter.
