Revs die at 6k

Since sorting out the 2nd turbo (thanks RX7club.com!) the car now stops acceletaing at 6000 rpm (will continue to redline but just slower.....).

When only 1 turbo was operating revs grew steadily all the way to redline, but now the above happens.

I understand that this could be a blocked main cat or fuel pump problem, any suggestions? Anybody else had similar problems?

Car has K&N cone filters and downpipe replaced.

do you have a boost gauge....what psi does it run at on second turbo and do you loose the boost or just loose engine

good point, will check...

Ignition problem? Check spark plugs. Replace if necessary. Use platinum conductors, not junk copper (like I did ONCE!)...

Boost holds at 7-8psi at 6000rpm, but revs stop (like a flat spot). Plugs are new (1 month old) NGK BUR9PEQs (all 4no.). When only 1 turbo was working, i regularly hit the warning buzzer... now i can,t get near it!

Boost pattern and power are all ok..

Plug leads?
Main Cat?

Thanks

I say clogged cat as well. But just for fun, verify correct operation of the charge control valve located on the y-pipe assembly.

Charge control actuator or charge relief valve?
Have previously tested the CRV and found it to be okay....

Charge control actuator, how do i test that?

Autosport Racetech site says ... "A simple test for the Charge Control Actuator is to start the engine and let it idle, the actuator rod will be pulled in. Stop the engine and remove the hose from Chamber A (vac line) and the actuator rod will be out"

Is this correct?

Many thanks
Jon
