replacing O2 sensor ?
Hi guys!
I am going to replace the O2 sensor soon, and I ordered Bosch universial O2 sensor. My question is that replacing the sensor is difficult or not. I am sure many of you guys have done that yourself. Please give me some tips. Thank you in advance. |
not much to it.
Open hood & unplug the sensor (located behind the upper intake manifold) Jack the car up to get to the sensor. Put some anti-seize on the new O2 sensor threads (careful to not get any on the sensor probe). Plug the connector back in. Presto........... |
PB Blaster, PB Blaster , and MORE PB Blaster. Spray it down and let it soak in over night. Buy it at walmart , autozone or advance auto.

Your also going to need to splice the OEM connector to your Generic sensor.
I would solder it & use shrink tubing. For $49 you can get a O2 sensor with the OEM connector on eBay. |
Thanks guys

or go to www.oxygensensors.com and get a factory replacement for $80. I have a Bosch universal O2 sensor and it last me about 2 months. I was reading some threads and some people had the same problem with them.
