Replacing Fuel Injectors

How difficult is it to replace the injectors?

if you have ever replaced your hoses yourself, it will be really easy, if not, you might want to consider doing a hose job while you are in there.

It is not hard, just time consuming. You might want to be sure you have something else to drive while you do this because it will take longer than you think. (took me 3 days the first time (hose job) and one for the second time)

you have to remove the upper manifold, the solenoid rack, the acv and both fuel rails. Once they are on the bench, then you can remove them.

I replaced only the secondaries in mine. Not too bad. Had to pull the manifold and the air injection after that it was pretty easy. I just put some duct tape on some channel locks and grabbed the injectors with them and pulled them out. Then I just put some oil on the o rings of new injectors and slid them in. Simple.

The injectors may be a bit difficult to pull out. If they are, just twist them side by side while pulling them out. Spray a little bit of oil between the injector, too. This can help in pulling it out if they are stuck in there good.
