to remove pill completely or not???

im having severe spiking or creeping problems. is the pill removal or replacment a trial and error deal. do i just start by removing the pill completely and see if that works and add a largr pill if needed? i set the PFC to around .70 bar and it will see .91 bar in the upper RPMS. it doesnt want to stay at .7 at all. your thoughts

What mods are on your car?

suprfast 02-01-03 03:01 PM

oops, that may be of some significance. i have apexi intake, hks DP, rx7 store MP, RB dual tip, PFC. those are the mods that matter atleast.

Well, I would try the Home Depot valve type boost control first. You could be experiencing boost creep but at least this would be a cheap way to find out.

Did you just add something to your car and now you are getting uncontrollable boost?

just added the MP. i set up a map for it and played with the duty cycle with no such luck. i did the vacuum hoses awhile back but cant remember how many pills there are. i think two. am i correct about this

i just removed the pills and now i get about 8lbs of boost in the first turbo. the second turbo still spikes to about 12-13 lbs after 6000 rpm's. i called rick at ricks rotary/rx7 fashion and he said that an aftermarket boost controller might work. he said that i would just plug two solenoids and then set the PFC for one setting above what the boost controller is set at. said that it doesnt garauntee it will work but it has a chance. either that or put my cat back on. also mentioned porting the wastegate but that sounds like a lot of fun. any one else that can give me some info. maybe people that have a PFC and aftermarket boost controller
