relocating AIT to Greddy elbow vs stock elbow

Are the results still as good? Im polishing for a member and doing a few things to the uim. Im wondering if I should suggest moving his air intake thermosensor to his greddy elbow. I have mine relocated but I still have the plastic elbow so I know the gains there are great. When you guys get out of your car to shut it off with the metal elbow how hot is it in comparison to the UIM? That would be a good way to judge.

thanks everyone

My mechanic mounted the sensor in one one of the extra fuel injector ports on his greddy elbow . The sensor is screwed into a plug he made from white nylon ,so the heat transfer is low compared to a metal plug .

what is the advantage of relocating it? Not as much heatsoaking to affect the true temp reading? Just curious cuz ive never seen one relocated around me :)

so what do you think about talking to david about having him make one of those white nylon plugs for you when you buy the tq brace and have the primary rail milled? That sounds real good to me. A guy here swears he blew his motor on the track just because of the heatsoak of the sensor. I want everything perfect on your car :D and I was going to fill in the uim today...you can always put the sensor back if you dont like that
