Relay Simplification

Can i get rid of the A/C, "Retra", and Air Pump relays if I'm not using them (fixed headlights)? Also I got rid of the radio one because all it was was a jumper (base trim).

So I'd be left with the fuel pump, TNS, radio, and horn relays in the front relay pack. Is this alright?

I'm just trying to confirm that they aren't used by something other than the obvious that I may still be using.

I'll take some pics soon, I removed all the rad fan relays and put them under my pass. headlight housing. Also my MSD box is under the drivers side one. Lots of conveniently free space under those fellas.

Do you still have stock headlights?

yes, any system you remove you can remove the relays and fuses for it (use WSM).

I think there are two 'retra' relays...two different light actuators and located in two different relay boxes.

if your fuel pump is wired 12V all the time, you can remove the fuel pump (speed) relay.

...a pimp way to move wires thru the firewall is splice them (say a boost solenoid) into the ECU/CABIN side of the harness and use the system wires from the function you've removed to send/receive signal from the new gadget in the bay; its already run cleanly in a harness...pick them the other side up in a relay box...already supplied with fuse (check amperage)

now, that's...

I hate seeing single wires run in engine bays (all different colors)...just tucked around or behind something.

I'd simply pull the relays, drive around and make sure all systems work perfectly, then go from there. That, plus researching the wiring diagram, is the way to go.

wait til I get my digital camera fixed, I'll post some pics. i've hid a lot under my fixed headlight housings:the front relay box and side cooling relays under pass side, MSD box under drivers side! I'm happy.
