refilling a/c

My system is retrofitted for the r134a and i had a leak with the cooling hose. Well I have the new one in and need to refill the system. How does one go about doing this? Do I need to by some sort of pressure gauge? Do i need to refill the a/c oil in the system? I didn't take any out so i don't know why i would. The only thing i did was remove the old hose and put the new one on. How much freon do you need? Are there certain brands that are better than others? Can you buy freon with the dye in it so i can be sure i fixed the leak? Where should i look for the freon? Thanks. I'm new to working on the a/c system.

you won't be able to do it yourself, you will need to go o a shop that does this, you can't by freon like that i beleive.

they will do a pressure test and put a weird stuff in it to see if it still leaks, the gas glow in the dark and this is how they see the leak. After that, they will put the freon. It should be around 50$ so it is a lot cheaper than if you do it yourself.

I had a freon leak on my car too... I wanted to know about those cheap do it yourself fixes and refills. I guess its best to take it to a shop.
