redline oil

ok, dont be pissed off....I did "the search" but i guess not good enough.

I'm trying to get some tranny oil as well as diff oil from redline, and I've got stuck with a question.

"which type of oil should i use?"

im going to use "75w-90 Gear Oil" for my Diff.
but as for tranny, which one should I use?

75w-90 gear oil?
MT-90 ?
MTL ?

"I'd like a one that can fix my "5th gear grind". Damn i wish an oil change would do all that... but then again, it should get little better right? perhaps, little smoother?"

I use Lightweight Shockproof in my tranny and diff, but that's for a pure racing application. For the street, MT-90 is the way to go, especially if you want to try to help out a worn 5th gear synchro. Of course, the main way to help that out is either (1) learn to be patient in the 4-5 upshift, so that the rpm's fall and match, (2) double-clutch, or (3) replace the synchro.

Before you consider Redline MT-90 for your transmission, check out this post and thread:

thankx speed king with those post links. you have me more confuzed...haha jk =)

Im going with RL MT-90 for my tranny...

I recently put Redline MT-90 in my tranny and experienced a problem with notchiness. Dino juice was in there before and shifting was completely smooth. Go figure? Based on my experience, I would not use RL MT-90 or MTL. I have used RL 75w90 in my differential without any apparent problems, however.
